WEAVING
Like a proper Quebec woman of my generation, I learned to sew and the art of crochet and lace from my mother and knitting from my grandmother. As a young girl, I saw for the first time in my life a strange instrument at her home: a spinning wheel.
My maternal grandparents owned a men’s handkerchiefs and ties factory in Montreal and were major suppliers for the Canadian military. When they retired, my parents carried on the tradition and diversified the products. They made all kinds of lingerie for hospitals and institutions: sheets, robes, surgeons’ clothing, uniforms, etc.
I had the love of the fabric very young and learned to make my clothes just with my inspirations.
In the ’90s, I left for the Old Continent to make a career in numbers. It was my trips to Asia and the Middle East that sparked the fire and made me do a 180-degree turn, and I started learning to weave and spin wool. The circle is now complete.

EMBROIDERY
Embroidery, knitting, sewing and all of these manual occupations have been part of my life since I was a child. But this side of my life took quite a turn when I discovered all the different possibilities of embroidery since I visited the Royal School of Needlework in England. Since then, embroidery became for me more than a hobby: now it is part of my daily life.
Through my creations or reproductions of pieces of work, there is a part of me. I would like to make sure that there is a part of you in the pieces I make for you.
From a simple picture or a drawing, it is possible for me to transform it into a tangible memory for you.
